FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne's NBC) - A Fort Wayne registered nurse said she supports a proposed bill that would prevent employers from mandating their employees to get vaccinated.

Indiana State Senator Dennis Kruse authored SB74, a bill that would prohibit employers from taking negative action on employees or prospective employees who decline a required vaccine, including a COVID-19 vaccine.
The details of the bill are as follows:
"Workplace immunization prohibition. Prohibits an employer from requiring, as a condition of employment, an employee or prospective employee to receive any immunization if the immunization is medically contraindicated for the employee or receiving the immunization is against the employee's religious beliefs or conscience. Allows for a civil action against an employer for a violation."
Indiana for Medical Freedom, Indiana Health Choice Coalition, and Hoosiers for Medical Liberty brought the legislation to State Senator Kruse in October after watching unprecedented mandates in Indiana. Read more
